Superintendent Hilario “Larry” Chavez announced today, March 15th, the appointment of Bridget Love as principal of Aspen Community School.  The appointment is effective on March 27th.  Love, a certified administrator, has been the high school assistant principal at Santa Fe Indian School since 2019.  Before that, she worked as instructional coordinator, data & testing coordinator and high school science teacher at the school.

Love has taught science, math and humanities in high schools and middle schools in both New Mexico and Chicago, holds a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from the University of New Mexico and has completed the program for Adolescent Studies with the North American Montessori Teachers Association.

“Our goal is to provide the Aspen community with a highly qualified leader who will inspire excellence in learning.  We are so fortunate to welcome Bridget Love to Aspen Community School and our district.  Her professional experience runs the gamut from administration, curriculum & instruction, afterschool enrichment and special education to professional development and assessment,” said SFPS Superintendent  Hilario “Larry” Chavez. 

Love said, “I am honored and excited to be joining the Aspen community. I look forward to meeting all the staff, students and families and collaborating to support and grow the positive school environment for all our students.”

In December 2011, Love graduated from Santa Fe Community College’s Teacher Academy Alternative Licensing Program.  In June 2003, she earned a Bachelors in Religious Studies from Princeton University.
