Meet up with your fellow students and families at the Alto Park playground at 7:15 AM to kick off the morning with energy and community spirit.
Whether you want to walk or roll, all active wheels are welcome! You can lace up your sneakers or bring your favorite set of wheels, including:
• Bikes
• Roller Skates or rollerblades
• Skateboards
• Scooters
It is a fantastic, healthy way to start the school day, hang out with friends, and get moving together. Grab your helmets and your walking shoes—we can't wait to see you there!

The English Middle School graphic design and fine arts classes collaborated with local muralists, Gabriella Corral and John Paul, and the senior citizen center on a pollinator mural project.
They learned about the importance of pollinators in the world, public art displays, and art in the community.

SFPS uses AirNow.gov as its primary source for Air Quality Index (AQI) information while also considering conditions at individual school sites, as air quality can vary across the district.
Principals may move recess, physical education classes, and other outdoor activities indoors at any time based on conditions at their school. Schools do not need to wait for a districtwide directive to make adjustments when conditions warrant.
SFPS will continue to monitor air quality and make decisions with the health and safety of students and staff as our priority.

DIBELS helps educators measure key early literacy skills and identify where students may need additional support, giving teachers valuable information to guide instruction and help every student build a strong foundation in reading.
We appreciate the New Mexico Public Education Department for providing districts with this option and supporting our ability to choose the assessment that best meets the needs of our students and educators.

Update on Our Water Donation Drive
Thank you so much to everyone who was ready to come together and support our first responders, workers, and families affected by the Frijoles Fire. Your kindness, generosity, and willingness to help our community means so much to us. ❤️
We have received word that additional water supplies are not needed at this time. Because of this, we will not be accepting water donations today, Thursday, August 20th.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who shared our message, planned to donate, and helped spread the word. It is a beautiful reminder of how caring and generous our community is when our neighbors need us.
Thank you for understanding and, most of all, thank you for your kindness and support. ❤️🙏

Air Quality Update: Though smoke conditions have begun to improve on the west side of Santa Fe, air quality in most areas of the city remains in the orange, red, or purple range.
All students will remain indoors for afternoon recess today. In addition, outdoor athletic practices will not be permitted. SFPS will continue to monitor air quality conditions and make adjustments as needed. Thank you for your understanding and support as we prioritize the health and safety of our students and staff.
