Cell Phones Policy

Students may not use their cell phones during class time. Cell phones are not to be visible in school buildings. Cell phones must be in the off mode during class time and in all school buildings. Students may use their cell phones at lunch outside the school buildings in the courtyard(s).  Students who loan their phones to another will be held accountable if cell phone policy is violated.  Failure to adhere to this rule will result in, but is not limited to, the following: 

1st offense:  Teacher/staff confiscates phone and turns it in to administration.  Student must visit with administration to retrieve the cell phone.  A warning is given.

2nd offense: Teacher/staff confiscates phone and turns it in to administration.  Parents are notified.  A student disciplinary report is written for insubordination and failure to follow school policy.  Parent must retrieve phone.

3rd offense:  Teacher/staff confiscates phone and turns it in to administration.  Parents are notified.  Phone is confiscated for the remainder of the school year.  Further infractions result in formal district hearing.
